TOUR DESCRIPTION

Book a horseback riding tour to Arenal Volcano that leaves the road behind and turns into a private ecological park, past a volcanic lake and into the rainforest.

No riding experience needed. These horses know the trail, a bilingual guide rides with you, and free hotel pickup in La Fortuna and all gear are included.

The last stretch is on foot: ten minutes over rocky ground to an ancient lava flow, where your guide tells the story of the 1968 and 2010 eruptions. On a clear day, Lake Arenal and Tenorio Volcano are in view.

The hot springs and a volcanic mud bath are waiting at the end. From age 10
